These terms and conditions are the contract between you and Fam Stoves Ltd (“us”, “we”, etc). By visiting or using Our Website, you agree to be bound by them. They are based on a set written by Net Lawman and released under licence. They protect your rights as well as ours.
We are Fam Stoves Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 15002328. Our registered address is 2 Warrenwood Industrial Estate, Stapleford, Hertford, SG14 3NU.
You are: anyone who uses Our Website.
Please read this agreement carefully and save it. If you do not agree with it, you should leave Our Website immediately.
Definitions
In this agreement:
- Carrier – any person or business contracted by us to carry Goods from us to you.
- Content – any content in any form published on Our Website by us or any third party with our consent.
- Goods – any of the goods we offer for sale on Our Website, including fireplace inserts, stoves, accessories, or related items.
- Our Website – any website of ours, including all web pages controlled by us.
- Post – display, exhibit, publish, distribute, transmit and/or disclose information or Content on Our Website.
Interpretation
In this agreement unless the context otherwise requires:
- A reference to a person includes individuals, corporations, government bodies, or organisations.
- These terms apply to all supplies of Goods by us and prevail over any terms proposed by you.
- Any agreement not to do something includes an obligation not to allow another person to do that thing.
- Obligations may be performed by another person.
- References to a party include successors or permitted assigns.
- Headings do not affect interpretation.
- References to legislation include updated or replacement laws.
- In any indemnity, costs include management time valued at £100 per hour (business customers only).
- These terms apply to you as a buyer or visitor to Our Website.
- This agreement is made only in English.
Our Contract With You
This agreement contains the entire agreement between the parties.
If you use Our Website to place an order on behalf of another person, you warrant that you have full authority to do so.
We do not guarantee that Goods advertised on Our Website are available. The terms that apply to you are those posted on Our Website on the day you order Goods.
We may refuse to deliver Goods to countries we do not serve.
Acceptance of Your Order
Your order is an offer to buy from us. We accept your offer only when we dispatch the Goods.
If we do not have all Goods in stock, we will offer alternatives. You may:
- accept the alternatives;
- cancel all or part of your order.
We may decline to supply Goods at any time before dispatch.
Price and Payment
The price payable for Goods is clearly set out on Our Website.
Prices include VAT. If your delivery address is outside the UK, VAT will be refunded.
Delivery charges are shown before payment.
If we mistakenly underprice Goods, we will notify you before dispatch.
If we owe you money, refunds will be made within 14 days.
Security of Your Credit Card
We take care to make Our Website safe.
Payments are processed securely by thirdparty payment providers. If you ask us to store your card details, they will be encrypted and used only for authorised transactions.
Cancellation and Refunds (Consumers Only)
These terms apply under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Cancellation before delivery
If you have ordered Goods but not received them, you may cancel within 14 days of your order.
Cancellation after delivery
If you have received Goods, you may cancel within 14 days of receiving them. You must notify us and return the Goods within the same period.
Refunds are subject to:
- Goods being returned in new, resaleable condition, with packaging intact.
- Following our returns procedure.
Exceptions
You cannot cancel if:
- Goods relating to hygiene are unsealed;
- Goods are mixed with other items and cannot be separated.
You are responsible for return shipping costs.
Refunds will be made within 14 days of receiving the returned Goods.
Liability for Subsequent Defects
Please examine Goods immediately upon receipt.
If you do not notify us of any defect within 30 days, we assume you have accepted them.
Faulty Goods must be returned as soon as a defect is discovered, but no later than six months from receipt.
Before returning Goods, please reread instructions and ensure correct installation and usage.
If a defect is confirmed, we will:
- repair or replace the Goods; or
- refund the full cost including return postage.
Delivery and PickUp
We aim to deliver Goods within 5 working days from the day you place your order.
Deliveries will be made by the Carrier to the address in your order. An adult aged 18+ must be present to sign for delivery.
If Goods are damaged in transit, you must refuse delivery and notify us immediately.
Delivery dates are estimates and not contractual.
Some Goods may be delivered directly by the manufacturer.
Large or heavy Goods may require longer delivery times.
Collection
You may collect Goods from our warehouse by appointment once payment has cleared.
Goods are at your risk from the moment they are collected.
Foreign Taxes and Duties
If you are outside the UK, you are responsible for complying with local laws and paying any import duties or taxes.
Goods Returned (Business Customers Only)
We do not accept returns unless:
- Goods were defective at the time of purchase; or
- We have agreed in writing to accept a return.
Goods must be returned within 14 days of discovering the defect.
Goods should be returned:
- with all packaging and components;
- securely wrapped;
- at your risk and cost.
If Goods are confirmed faulty, we will:
- refund return carriage;
- repair or replace the Goods.
Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment Regulations 2013
We will take back your old electrical item free of charge when you buy a replacement. You must return the old item within 28 days and pay the carriage cost.
Disclaimers
The law differs from one country to another. This paragraph applies so far as applicable law allows.
We make no representation or warranty for:
- any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose;
- the adequacy of Goods for your purpose.
We disclaim liability arising from information taken from Our Website.
Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12month period.
We are not liable for:
- indirect or consequential loss;
- economic loss, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill.
These limitations apply to our directors, employees, agents, and subcontractors.
Your Account With Us
You agree to provide accurate and uptodate information.
You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your account and password.
Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authority.
Restrictions on What You May Post
You agree not to Post Content that is:
- malicious, defamatory, illegal, obscene, offensive, or violent;
- misleading or impersonates another person;
- commercial audio, video, or music files;
- used to sell goods or services;
- inappropriate for persons under 18.
Your Posting: Restricted Content
A Posting must not contain:
- unauthorised hyperlinks;
- repeated or irrelevant keywords;
- logos or trademarks of others;
- inaccurate or misleading information.
How We Handle Your Content
Our privacy policy complies with the Data Protection Act 2018.
Content Posted publicly becomes available in the public domain.
Posting content does not change your ownership of copyright.
You are responsible for ensuring your Content does not infringe intellectual property rights.
Removal of Offensive Content
If you are offended by Content, you may submit a complaint.
We will remove offending Content as soon as reasonably possible and investigate the matter.
If a complaint is frivolous or vexatious, you agree to repay our investigation costs.
Security of Our Website
You agree not to:
